Sauvignon Blanc
Sonoma ValleyOld World meets New in the latest vintage of our Sauvignon Blanc. By adding a touch of Semillon to the blend, we brought a bit of Bordeaux style sophistication to Sonoma County.
Tasting Notes
We honor Old World winemaking styles with our 2022 Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc by incorporating a touch of Semillon to the blend. Semillon brings added complexity, body and texture and acts as the perfect partner to the crisp acidity of Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of gooseberry and elderflower entice you to take the delightful first sip that ushers in flavors of Meyer lemon and Asian pear. The added use of neutral oak barrels during fermentation delivers a soft mouthfeel and bright, clean finish that inspires daydreams of spring picnics and summer beach days.
Vineyards
The Sauv Blanc vineyard is located in an alluvial flood plain on the eastern end of the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. Meaning that the fog burns off slightly sooner than the areas nearer to the coast. The combination of these deep rich soils and maritime influence create a long, slow growing season perfect for Sauvignon Blanc.
